According to washington post, This would be the media mogul’s fourth divorce but also his shortest marriage. He had first married Patricia Booker, in 1956, before separating in 1967. A few months later, the billionaire and Anna Maria Torv were married and separated in 1999.

They announced their engagement in January 2016 and kept much of their romance private.. And this divorce could cost him very dearly, since his fortune is estimated at 17 billion dollars. But according to a lawyer who knows the tycoon well, he had planned the coup by establishing a very clear marriage contract.

She will receive a generous living allowance of £5-10million a year for the rest of her life. This covers personnel and security needs. Jerry will get a few houses, maybe Chipping Norton and an apartment in New York, and the use of private jets.” The prenup was designed to give Jerry Hall financial security if she were to outlive her husband, but the exact terms were never disclosed. In the wake of the announcement of the divorce, the former editor-in-chief of the Sun published an astonishing message on Twitter: “I know you were worried about this, but after talking to people about Rupert Murdoch, they assure me that his $17 billion fortune will not be wiped out by his divorce from Jerry”.
