Adam through time: the 441 m2 house of the film which is a hit on Netflix is located in Canada and has been sold for 4 million dollars

Released on Netflix on March 11, the film Adam through time directed by Shawn Levy (director of Stranger Things) is a smash hit. During its first weekend on Netflix, it already had 92.4 million hours of viewing and entered the top 3 of the best starts for Netflix productions, placing just behind Red Notice and Don’t Look Up. In this science fiction film, Ryan Reynolds and Jennifer Garner give the reply to Walker Scobell, whose first appearance in the cinema, and to Mark Ruffalo. The plot follows Adam’s journey into the past during which he meets his 12-year-old self.

Besides the captivating plot, the film’s retro atmosphere also appealed a lot. The decor is not for nothing and the house that serves as the setting for the plot was the subject of a long work: the director asked the production designer Claude Paré to create “the house in which you would dream to live”. If the interior of the house was therefore entirely created in the studio, the exterior is very real.

For the exterior shots of the Reed family house, it is indeed a real private house that served as a model and whose facade was partially modified for the filming. According to the interactive map of the site Netflix in your Neighborhood, “The charming community of Lynn Valley, in North Vancouver (in Canada, editor’s note), is where the exterior of Adam’s family home was shot”. More precisely located at 590 E. Kings Road, the house is surrounded by a large garden separated by a stone path.
