The big retro fever is currently circulating among the TV stations: Among other things, “TV total”, “Go to the whole” and “Wetten, dass..?” reported back in the last few months. And RTL has also launched its own offensive with “The price is hot”, “The 100,000 mark show” is also set to celebrate a comeback. But that’s still not enough: now the Cologne broadcaster is also relaunching two reality court shows.

RTL announced on the official social media channels on Wednesday: Judge Barbara Salesch returns to television. In addition, Ulrich Wetzel, who became known through “The Criminal Court”, has his own format. The users in social networks take the message mixed.

RTL brings back even more cult shows

“Barbara Salesch and Ulrich Wetzel throw on their robes again. Both get their own show,” reveals RTL. The special thing about it: while “Das Strafgericht” was already at home on RTL, Barbara Salesch changes channels. Your show ran until 2012 on competitor Sat.1. There is also the information:

“The broadcast and title of both formats have not yet been decided at this point in time, but we are very much looking forward to the two of them swinging the judge’s gavel again soon.”

Salesch and Wetzel back on TV: RTL surprises viewers

Some users on social networks are surprised at the news – although various other classics have recently enjoyed a revival, the court shows have so far been left out. “Awesome! I never expected Salesch to return! Congratulations on your coup”, cheers a fan on Twitter. Another shares the enthusiasm and says: “Cool thing! This will be a trash festival for us. Hope they’re just as crazy as they were back then.” Salesch and Wetzel are apparently an integral part of childhood memories for quite a few.

But there is also a lot of criticism in the comment sections. Various viewers who would have preferred the return of other shows or reality celebrities have their say. Examples include Alexander Hold, Ingo Lenssen and Ruth Herz. The former in particular still seems to have a large fan group behind them.

Numerous users are also of the opinion that RTL must generally run out of ideas for new formats. “Can’t you think of anything new?” One person on Instagram is annoyed. Another user says, “But this time, look for better ‘actors’. These amateur actors scream.” Elsewhere in the comment section on Instagram, the note can simply be read: “Fortunately, there is a remote control.”

(yeah)
