The views of the ex-wife of Johnny Depp in the exclusive interview he gave to NBC, he informs himself dropper. The novelty that was known this Wednesday is the confession of Amber Heard that she is still in love with the actor with whom she starred and recently lost a six-week libel trial.
Despite his accusations that he abused her and a multimillion-dollar lawsuit that he filed and that he won, the actress still confessed to being in love. “Absolutely. I’m lovin ‘it. She loved him with all my heart”, the “Aquaman” actress told Savannah Guthrie at the preview of the upcoming NBC News special that airs in full on Friday, June 17.
“I did my best to make a deeply broken relationship work and I couldn’t. I have no ill feelings or ill will towards him at all.”
Depp, 59, sued Heard, 36, for defamation over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which he called himself a victim of domestic abuse. Interviewer and attorney Guthrie noted that the article was published at the height of the #MeToo movement when “legions of powerful men (were) being furloughed, losing their jobs” and she asked if she wanted the same thing to happen to Depp. “Of course not,” the star responded, insisting the op-ed wasn’t about her ex-husband.
Although Depp’s name did not appear in the article, it was written after Heard accused the “Edward Scissorhands” star of abuse in a restraining order filed in 2016.
Heard reiterated her allegations during her recent trial testimony, alleging that Depp had beaten her and threatened to kill her when she was abusing drugs and alcohol. She also said that she exhibited a extremely jealous behavior, particularly over her interactions with her former co-star James Franco, calling her a “bitch”. (AND)
