an actress from the Netflix series will not be in season 4

After Simone Ashley, last April it was the turn of Patricia Allison, who plays Ola, Otis’s sister-in-law, to withdraw from the cast for the next season.

Sex Education loses a new character. Last April, Simone Ashley, who plays Olivia Hanan, announced that she would not be present in season 4 of the Netflix series. The actress favors her role as Kate Sharma in another successful platform series, The Bridgerton Chronicle.

This time it’s Patricia Allison (Ola), who is leaving the cast for this next season. The actress announced on Capital EXTRA radio that she wanted to devote herself to other projects:

“I loved being in Sex Education and I loved playing Ola so much, but unfortunately I won’t be joining the team for season 4. I’m really sorry to have to tell you this but I’m just going to do other things. Other opportunities came to me,” she said.

Outraged Sex EducationPatricia Allison has also been playing since June 10 in the play A Doll’s House: Part 2 alongside Noma Dumezweni in London.

Filming of season 4 this summer

The character of Ola appeared in the first season of Sex Education as the girlfriend of Otis (Asa Butterfield). She is also the daughter of Jakob, the new companion of Jean (Gillian Anderson), the mother of Otis. Over the seasons, Ola and Otis separated and Ola now lives a love affair with Lily (Tanya Reynolds), a fan of fantastic comics.

No broadcast date for Season 4 has yet been announced on Netflix but filming is expected to begin this summer.

We saw her in the blockbuster Eiffel, alongside Romain Duris, then in Death on the Nile,at the beginning of the year. She will also star in the highly anticipated Barbie, starring Margot Robbie.
