- In mid-January, ZDF announced that two more editions of “Wetten, dass..?” are planned.
- Now the date for the first show is fixed.
- It is scheduled to take place in November 2022.
After the anniversary broadcast of “Wetten, dass..?” proved to be a great success in November 2021, ZDF has confirmed two more sequels for 2022 and 2023. The first broadcast date has now been set.
The next issue will be shown on Saturday, November 19 at 8:15 p.m. The broadcaster confirmed this to the media magazine “DWDL”.. It is therefore still unclear where the upcoming live show will be filmed.
Thomas Gottschalk: “I like to do it once a year”
Thomas Gottschalk, who moderated the big comeback show together with Michelle Hunziker, commented in January opposite “picture” pleased with the channel’s decision to produce two more episodes. He would also take over the moderation post again for the new editions: “I’d be happy to do it once a year as an event show.”
He is happy about ZDF’s decision. The audience’s approval of the comeback certainly helped. “I wasn’t quite sure if the old magic still worked,” said Gottschalk about his doubts. But it worked. Gottschalk sent the following message to the “few critics who complained that it was yesterday’s television”: “That was intentional – and I can’t and don’t want to pretend that I’m the man for tomorrow.”
