Before his comedy career, Atze Schröder actually worked as a sales manager – including an expensive suit. And all without any training and with a forged certificate, as he revealed in the “Kölner Treff”.
Curls, sunglasses and a loose mouth – that’s what comedian Atze Schröder is known for today. Hardly any fan will be able to imagine the comedy star as a serious sales manager in an expensive suit. But this is exactly the job he has worked in the past – with a forged reference, as he revealed on the talk show “Kölner Treff” on WDR on May 6th.
“An entrepreneur friend of mine gave me a certificate”: Atze Schröder worked as a sales manager
Before Atze Schröder made his way into the comedy Olympus of Germany, he apparently made a trip into the world of a businessman. After playing as a musician for a long time, he decided to build something up. “That’s why I switched,” revealed the comedian on the WDR talk show, where he presented his new biography.
The problem: Atze, who chose the job of sales manager, had no training at all. “It was just a dazzling act,” he explained on TV. “An entrepreneur friend of mine gave me a certificate stating that I had worked there successfully for 10 years,” he continued.
Atze Schröder as sales manager in an expensive suit – “You can’t even imagine”
Finally, Atze Schröder bought an expensive suit and applied to be a sales manager – with success. “I really had no idea, but I was always well received by customers,” continued the comedian. “Kölner-Treff” presenter Bettina Böttinger could hardly believe that Schröder was once out and about in an expensive suit. “Can’t imagine,” she commented, amused.
At some point, however, Atze Schröder’s job became too “bourgeois” – and fortunately he embarked on the career path in which he is still enjoying great success today. Also a guest at the “Kölner Treff” was pop singer Beatrice Egli, who had to dodge an uncomfortable love question because of her necklace.
