Billie Eilish’s family home was burgled on Thursday. The man was arrested by Los Angeles police.
Did the burglar know he was breaking into Billie Eilish’s property? A man was arrested after returning to Maggie Baird and Patrick O’Connell, the parents of the 21-year-old American singer, located in the Highland Park district of Los Angeles. According to CBS News, the police arrived at the scene around 9:15 p.m. on Thursday after being warned that an individual had jumped over the garden fence. The suspect, dressed all in black, had his face camouflaged behind a mask.
According to information from ABC 7, the residence belongs to the interpreter of “Bad Guy” and to his parents. It was not stated whether any property was stolen from the house. Videos of the burglar’s arrest were broadcast on Citizen, an application that pushes its users, like Waze, to report incidents and offenses around them.
A place full of stories
In 2019, Billie Eilish told the magazine “RollingStonethat she had to hire a security guard to sleep in their living room after his mailing address leaked on the internet. “It was really traumatic. I don’t feel safe at home at all anymore, which sucks. I love my house,” she said.
Billie Eilish and her brother, 25-year-old musician Finneas O’Connell, grew up in this Los Angeles home. The young man had revealed in an interview that his parents slept on a futon in their living room so that their children could have their own bedrooms. It is also between these walls that the duo recorded a majority of the songs for “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”, the singer’s first album. Thanks to this record, Jesse Rutherford’s girlfriend became the youngest artist to win the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
