This year 2023 is going to be the year of changes. For example, 3 grants with a large number of beneficiaries will be the subject of an experiment. What blows inch we are talking about exactly? Well, that’s what we’re going to see right away. The Objeko editorial staff will also tell you who is affected by the automatic payment. Are you ready ?

CAF aid concerned by this automatic payment

Every year, billions of social benefits are not distributed. This is called non-recourse (aid not requested by the beneficiaries). And the least we can say is that this phenomenon is growing in France. For some of these non-requesters, the procedures were considered too complicated. For others, it was more a question of a desire not to depend on social assistance. In order to combat this phenomenon, the government has decided to experiment with social assistance.

From 2023, regular aid will be automatically paid. And it concerns in particular the active solidarity income (RSA), the activity bonus or even personalized housing assistance (APL). But beware, this device will not concern all of France. Indeed, the automatic payment of this aid will be implemented only in 18 French departments and one metropolis. Read the rest of our article, you will see if your department is one of them.

18 departments and metropolis in the experimental phase

CAF: apart from limiting non-recourse, this experiment also aims at something else. It also aims to simplify procedures for beneficiaries and to fight against social fraud. what we can also tell you is that these experiments will begin this month of January 2023. And they will be named Zero non-recourse territories. Here is the list of the 19 territories concerned by this phase of experimentation:

  • aisne
  • Aveyron
  • Bouches-du-Rhone
  • Golden Coast
  • Dig
  • Eure
  • Ille-et-Vilaine
  • Loire Atlantique
  • Loiret
  • Mayenne
  • metropolis of Lyon
  • North
  • Pyrenees-Atlantiques
  • Reunion
  • Seine-Saint-Denis
  • Sum
  • Vosges
  • Yonne
  • Yvelines

The government’s goal is to generalize automatic payment. And this, in the next two years and on the whole of French territory. You should also know that the 19 departments in experimentation will also adopt the new RSA conditional on 15 to 20 hours of activity per week. There you go, now you know everything about it.
