Cathy Hummels speaks out against Boris Becker’s early release from prison. He is said to have filed a criminal complaint against her.

Influencer Cathy Hummels (34) was publicly critical of Boris Becker’s (55) early release from prison. He was sentenced to two and a half years in prison in April for bankruptcy offenses and has now been released after seven months. Cathy Hummels then said clearly in the “Shitstorm” podcast: “To be honest, I don’t like it at all when you’re treated with kid gloves just because you’re famous or well-known”. Your opinion now seems to have consequences.

Cathy Hummels: “You have to do it”

The 34-year-old also said on her podcast: “He cheated, cheated and fooled a lot of people. That’s just not right. Then you just have to go to prison – just like everyone else if he did it.” She also asks herself: “Why is he getting out earlier now? He fooled people, he ruined them. You have to sit down. I’m super serious about that.” Boris Becker has not yet made a statement, but according to the BILD newspaper, he has filed a criminal complaint with the Munich public prosecutor’s office for defamation in public.

Cathy Hummels has been unimpressed so far – so she posted a video of herself and Lilly Becker on the beach on vacation in Dubai. Underneath, the 34-year-old writes: “We have fun”. In addition, the 34-year-old says to the BILD newspaper about the alleged criminal complaint: “I wish Boris Becker a nice year 2023. Now I’m going to have a coffee and meet Lilly Becker on the beach. She also sends her regards to him. We’re celebrating New Year’s Eve together with the children today. The fans are excited to see what happens next.
