- Celeste Barber became known for her parodies of celebrity photos and thus became an Instagram icon herself.
- The Australian celebrates her 40th birthday on May 6th.
- Reason enough to look back at their most legendary parodies.
Celeste Barber rose to international fame in 2015, mostly thanks to the #CelesteChallengeAccepted project she started. Today, the Australian herself has nine million followers on the social media platform.
From Kendall Jenner to Rihanna to almost every “Victoria’s Secret” model on the planet, Barber has targeted quite a few stars in recent years. These are their funniest parodies.

In 2015, Celeste Barber parodied Kendall Jenner’s famous heart-hair photo and wished the model a happy birthday, saying, “Happy birthday Kenny. Remember to find someone to take care of you when you’re drunk today so that your friends can’t do stupid things with your hair again.”
“There’s no better feeling than holding life’s most precious gifts,” Celeste Barber wrote in a July 2017 spoof of Beyoncé’s photoshoot with her newborn twins. Instead of two babies, the Australian holds a bottle of wine and a loaf of bread in her arms.
On Christmas 2021, Barber took on a photo of reality star Kylie Jenner. The Australian appeared in a tight red dress with a bow on her head. In her hand she holds a bottle of wine – instead of a lipstick like Jenner. “The holidays can be tough,” Barber captioned the photo.
In February 2018, Bella Hadid got it on when Celeste Barber recreated an image of the model posing in black lingerie with her face lit by a spotlight. “If you’re looking for one of us, we’re over here making love on camera,” Barber wrote of the parody.
“When you have five seconds alone in the shower,” Celeste Barber quipped beneath a photo she uses to recreate a photoshoot of singer Rihanna in just her panties, laughing in the shower. Barber recreated the image in August 2018.
Kim Kardashian is one of Celeste Barber’s favorite “victims.” In 2018, she recreated a photo of the reality star dressed as a Victoria’s Secret angel. “When your sister gets the job you’ve always wanted, you dress up as an angel in a parking lot to get over it,” she joked.
In September 2021, Barber couldn’t resist recreating Kardashian’s fully covered Met Gala look – clad in black leggings, a turtleneck and gloves. “Yes Kimberly, you are a true visionary. Thank you for all your tireless… work?” she commented.

In March 2022, Barber again referenced a picture of Kardashian in a bikini with a towel around her waist and a motorcycle helmet. Recreating the photo with a kid’s bike helmet, Barber wrote, “When your new friend wants you to try something new.”
“When Victoria’s Secret says there’s only one kind of sexy,” Celeste Barber captioned a November 2018 photo teasing a fashion company photoshoot with Zoë Kravitz. The original photo shows Kravitz wearing only white underpants with her arms stuck through.
“That week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve when you have no idea what’s up,” Barber wrote in a 2018 snap of a photo of Cardi B. The rapper poses in an orange sweater dress with quirky platform sneakers. Barber recreated the image by stacking several pairs of sneakers on top of each other.
“Felt cute. Won’t delete it later but Instagram probably will due to ‘community guidelines’/body shaming culture,” Barber wrote when recreating a photo of Dutch model Doutzen Kroes in late March 2022. The black and white photo shows her completely naked, wearing only black stiletto heels.
Model Irina Shayk couldn’t escape a Barber parody either: In October 2021, Barber recreated a photo shoot of the model, in which she poses by a pool in a skimpy neon green bikini, with over-the-knee boots and a glass in her hand. “Mom’s drinking wine again,” the comedian wrote.
For Lenny Kravitz’ birthday in May 2017, Celeste Barber adopted his look with an XXL oversized scarf. Instead of a scarf, the comedian wrapped a comforter around her neck and wrote, “Happy birthday Lenny Kravitz. Be yourself darling.”
