Football player Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodríguez returned home this Thursday with their newborn daughter. A couple of days ago, the Manchester United footballer confirmed that his partner had lost the girl’s twin brother during childbirth.
The English soccer striker shared an update on social media shortly after his baby boy made the journey back from hospital following his birth on Monday.
In the publication Cristiano wrote: ‘Home, sweet home. Gio and our little girl are finally with us. We want to thank everyone for all the kind words and gestures. ‘Your support is very important and we all feel the love and respect you have for our family. Now is the time to be thankful for the life we have just been given in this world.”
A similar post can also be seen on the official account of Georgina Rodríguez.
On April 18, also through social networks, Cristiano and Georgina asked for privacy due to the hard time they had to go through after the death of the baby boy during childbirth.
‘Only the birth of our girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. “We are all devastated by this loss and kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our baby, you are our angel. We will always love you,’ he wrote in the previous post in which he told of the baby’s death.
No further details of the incident have been released. (AND)
