The campaign was launched this World Water Day in which, in addition to celebrities, ecological and environmental activists participate, who express their concern because, without consultation, studies or explanation, section 5 of the Mayan Train was modified.
“We are against the fact that the Mayan Train has to pass through a protected area,” said Saúl Hernández, singer of Caifanes, at the time.
It is intended that the Mayan Train travel approximately 1,500 kilometers; It will pass through the states of Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo, and consists of eight sections in its construction.
