Dieter Bohlen is back at “DSDS”. After a year’s break, the pop titan has settled back into the jury’s chair for the anniversary and final season of the talent show. At his side: Pietro Lombardi, Leony and Katja Krasavice. As usual, he does not hold back with his statements on the show – it does not seem to be any different privately.
RTL presenter Frauke Ludowig met Bohlen for “Exclusive” for a very personal interview. Together with his girlfriend Carina, with whom he has been in a relationship for 17 years, he answered her questions about his career, family and possible wedding plans.
Bohlen talks about raising children
In the conversation, the 68-year-old reports, among other things, that prayer at home before meals is important to him. It was also about raising children. It is particularly important to him and Carina to convey a “reasonable value system” – especially in relation to money.
However, when Frauke Ludowig asked the music producer about marriage, he didn’t really want to come out with the language at first. Ludowig wanted to know whether he and Carina didn’t want to get married slowly or whether they had already done so. The pop titan then simply played back the question. A little puzzled, the RTL presenter made it clear that she was already married.
Dieter Bohlen rejects marriage
For Bohlen, on the other hand, marriage does not seem to be an issue, as he then clarified unequivocally and in the usual rough choice of words:
“Things that are in balance and that work perfectly, why do you have to change anything? To be honest, I don’t see the need.”
This is how Carina thinks about a wedding
For 39-year-old Carina, however, that doesn’t seem to be a problem. “I never dreamed that he would drag me in front of the altar. Not at all,” she explains openly.
Why is Bohlen so vehemently against a wedding? It’s quite possible that after his two failed marriages – one with Verona Pooth – he’s just had enough of the marriage certificate.
In a few days, the twelve stars of this year’s season will be “I’m a star – get me out of here!” in the Australian jungle. Before that, however, they have to do a five-day quarantine in a specially designated hotel in Australia. Jungle camp candidate Jolina Mennen passes the time before the show starts with sports or sunbathing on the balcony. However, the TV fame and influencer does not fight for the crown (only) because of the fee.
