At this unveiling, not only will Marvel-Fans wide-eyed: The lovable robot “Baymax”, which has been contributing its own mini-series since the end of June Disney+ is actually a colleague of Spider-Man, Thor and Co.!

Just in time for the start of his Disney+series appears on the net a curious Marvel-Theory on Baymax.

Disney + shows: Baymax is a true superhero – with connection to the MCU

The inflatable, rubbery, white robot can certainly adorn itself with the title “superhero”. His life-saving powers were already used in the movie “Baymax – Giant Robowabohu (original title: ‘Big Hero 6’)”.

And the health robot also knows how to use this in the new series “Baymax!”. He cares for people of all ages who are struggling with pain, cuts and bruises. Granted, Baymax is a hero like no other — but the character does indeed have a connection to the Marvel Comics universe.

As in the Disney film, Baymax is accompanied by the boy Hiro in the comics. Unlike in the film, however, it is not Hiro’s brother Tadashi who brings the robot to life, but Hiro himself.

This is Disney+:

  • Disney+ is an online video store and streaming service from The Walt Disney Company
  • The platform has been online since November 12, 2019
  • Disney+ currently has 118.1 million subscribers – making it the third largest streaming provider in the world (as of 2021)
  • The costs for a subscription in 2022 are 8.99 euros per month or 89.90 euros per year

Disney+ dedicates its own series to Baymax – he even appears in Marvel manuals

While Baymax resembles a cute marshmallow in the film and series, in the comics he is portrayed as some sort of dragon monster. An official Marvel manual even lists the character’s name as “Monster Baymax,” according to Decider.

However, the most popular version of Baymax to date – the swollen Disney version – never appeared in the comics.

But one thing the Marvel productions and the series “Baymax!” have in common: In both cases there is always a post-credits scene at the end that viewers should not miss.
