“Charm”, the successful Disney film, won the Oscar for best animated film at the 94th Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards, one of the most anticipated events in the film industry.
The film inspired by Colombian culture won a golden statuette after competing with the films “Flee, Luca”, “The Mitchells against the machines” and “Raya and the last dragon”.
The Ribbon Award Disney delivered seconds after Sebastian Yatra perform ‘Dos oruguitas’, one of the songs from the ‘Encanto’ soundtrack.
“Thanks to the Academy, I am proud to be part of a film that has beautiful and diverse characters. We have thanks to the music department led by Lin-Miranda, thanks to everyone in the studio and also thanks to the entire country of Colombia. This is a movie about family”, noted the filmmakers upon receiving the award.
As is customary, the award ceremony Oscar awards takes place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California, United States. This emblematic setting has hosted the award ceremony for many years.
