Duchess Kate: Radiant arrival in Jamaica

To mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year, Prince William and Duchess Kate are visiting Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas.

For a week, Duchess Kate (40) and Prince William (39) travel through the Caribbean on the occasion of the Queen’s platinum anniversary year. For the departure in Belize, Kate has decided on a very special look. The duchess already bought the coral red blazer from Saint Laurent during her studies. She combines white trousers, a bag from Mulberry and pumps from Aquazzura with the classic vintage piece.

Radiant arrival in Jamaica

After three days in Belize, the royal couple traveled to Jamaica on Tuesday. When she arrived in the capital, Kingston, the 40-year-old wowed everyone in bright yellow. The label Roksanda’s dress was specially made for the Duchess with short sleeves. She matched it with a bracelet from the Jamaican label Steelz and Mantraz.

Trip overshadowed by protests

Due to the colonial past, the arrival of the two royals – as in Belize – caused protests that the Duchess’s dreamy outfits cannot outshine. Just a few miles from the capital, Kingston, demonstrators gathered Tuesday demanding slavery reparations and an apology. In a letter, the activists call for Queen Elizabeth II (95) to be deposed as head of state in the Caribbean state, as was done recently in Barbados.
