Florent Pagny with cancer: shaved head, he talks about his chemotherapy

On January 25, Florent Pagny announced some very bad news. The 60-year-old singer is affected lung cancer. Shortly after confiding in the subject, he explained that he was starting chemotherapy sessions to try to cure himself. A technique that made him lose his hair. Indeed, at the beginning of March, he made an appearance on France 2 for a musical program shot live and revealed his shaved head. At the same time, Florent Pagny continued to shoot the new season of The Voice for TF1, alongside his friends Amel Bent, Vianney and Marc Lavoine.

In the episode broadcast this Saturday, May 7, 2022, he precisely showed off this new look after sporting his usual haircut during super cross-battles so far. “A new cut!“, was forced to raise the host Nikos Aliagas. And for Florent Pagny to have fun: “There it is even more a cut. It’s true that events rushed… You tell yourself I’m going to shorten their suffering (to his hair, editor’s note), do something more correct because these chemos make you lose your hair a bit“.

The artist who was forced to cancel his anniversary tour also took advantage of his speech to reassure. “But it is okay, it does not prevent us from staying in shape and still having a good face“, he let go, splitting a smile. “It suits you very well, you are a fighter“, then recognized Nikos Aliagas. A last sentence which prompted the public but also all the talents of the coaches to stand up to applaud Florent Pagny.

The super cross-battles are the last stage before the live broadcasts of The Voice. And Florent Pagny should be part of the adventure until the end. Recently, TF1 subtly confirmed that the coach would attend the semi-final of the program, May 14 on TF1. That evening, the ten candidates still in the running will have to perform a song of their choice and will also have the opportunity to form a duet with their coach.
