From the bunker to the stage, the moving performance of a Ukrainian girl on Polish television

Amelia, the little girl who moved the world with her cover of “Freed, Delivered”, performed the Ukrainian anthem on Polish television.

In early March, images of a Ukrainian girl performing the song Let It Go of Snow Queen in a kyiv bunker went viral. Nearly 100,000 retweets later, this little girl named Amelia once again caused a sensation this Sunday.

His moving rendition of the Ukrainian national anthem at a charity concert in Lodz, Poland, was once again unanimously acclaimed. The event, broadcast on television, raised funds which will go to a Polish foundation supporting the victims of the war in Ukraine.

“We See You”

Amelia’s first video has been viewed over 15 million times. The songwriter, Kristen Anderson-Lopez, expressed her emotion:

“Dear little girl with a beautiful voice, this song that my husband and I wrote is part of a story about a family in pain that heals. The way you sing it is like a magic trick that spread the light that is in your heart and heal anyone who hears it. Keep singing! We are listening!”

American singer and actress Idina Menzelwho performed the song in the original version of the cartoon, also had a few words for Amelia on Twitter“We see you. Truly, we see you.”

“I am overwhelmed. These poor children. These poor people. I wish I could hug and protect this little one and all the children in danger right now and I feel helpless,” tweeted Josh Gad, the actor who lends his voice to Olaf in the original version.
