The second live action of Fullmetal Alchemist is eagerly awaited by fans. On December 1, 2017, the manga had the right to its first live-action film signed Fumihiko Sori. However, the result disappointed the fans, whether on the side of the special effects, that of the realization. This live-action is even cited in the worst manga adaptations alongside DragonBall Evolutionor Death Note. However, despite these criticisms, two sequels have been announced, and will soon be available on our screens.
The first film will be released on May 20 in Japan, and to keep fans waiting, Warner Bros. is offering fans an excerpt from the meeting between Edward and Scar. The teaser features the two brothers in combat against Scar, but very quickly Alphonse finds himself disintegrating. A fight ensues between Scar and Edward Elric, the former attempting to disintegrate the latter’s automail arm and succeeding within seconds. The two brothers, and Scar will be joined by many characters like Lan Fan, Ling Yao, Solf. J Kimblee, King Bradley, Alex Louis Armstrong, Olivier Mira Armstrong, Van Hohenheim, Trisha Elric, Pinako Rockbell, Yuriy Rockbell, Sarah Rockbell, Selim Bradley, May Chang and Izumi Curtis.
The film will feature the same team as in 2017, namely Ryûsuke Yamada as Edward Elric and Atomu Mizuishi as Alphonse Elric. Additionally, Tsubasa Honda will return as Winry Rockbell and Dean Fujioka as Roy Mustang. Enough to ensure continuity for the saga.
Fullmetal Alchemist : The Avenger Scar will explore the story of the film’s big bad, and hits theaters on May 20 in Japan. It will be followed by The Last Transmutation on June 24, which will conclude the entire trilogy.
