Mexico.- Gael Garcia Bernal takes another step in his film career, as it has just been announced that in his new project, he will act alongside Nicole Kidman.
The 44-year-old Mexican and the 55-year-old Australian will share the filming set of the director’s next film Mimi Cave.
According to information from the specialized media The Hollywood Reporter, Gael García Bernal will participate with Nicole Kidman in the film Holland, Mich..
The American filmmaker Mimi Cave, will reunite Gael and Nicole for a thriller in the style of the filmmaker Alfred Hitchcockwhich involves secrets lurking beneath a Midwestern town.
As well as hobnobbing with Gael García Bernal, Nicole Kidman will also produce the project, along with Per Saari through his label. Blossom Filmswho has a long relationship with Amazonand recently joined for “Things I Know to Be True”an adaptation of Andrew Bovell’s award-winning play, and the upcoming drama series “Expats”.
In addition, the famous actress starred in “Being the Ricardos” from Amazon as Lucille Ball, a role that earned her an Academy Award nomination. Oscar awards for Best Actress, a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama, and a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) nomination.
For his part, Gael García Bernal will once again team up with Amazon after his role in “Cassandro”a film that premiered in the Sundance Film Festival with positive reviews.
Another project on the horizon for the Mexican actor is the Hulu series “Machine”in which he will share credits with Eiza Gonzalez and with his lifelong friend, diego luna.
