Gloria Trevi appears amid rumors of a new lawsuit for sexual abuse – El Sol de México

Singer Gloria Trevi posted a video on her Instagram account, where she claims to be fine and assured that she is prepared to “fight against anything”, after Rolling Stone magazine released a complaint filed in Los Angeles this Wednesday Angels against the Trevi-Andrade clan.

The lawsuit, filed by two women, became official on December 31, 2022, after a process that lasted three years. According to the interview conducted by the magazine, the two applicants were 13 and 15 years old when they were recruited by Gloria Trevi to be part of a musical training that would make them elite stars.

“The darkest moment of the night is when the aurora will begin, when it will begin to dawn,” Trevi said in the video, noting that she is in Spain, waiting for the parade of the Three Wise Men, to “fill herself with energy for many things that are coming, for everything”.

“Each blow has made me stronger and more human, everything that comes excites me … I feel that those who do not know me will finally know me and in the end everyone will love me,” wrote the interpreter of Zapatos Viejos, in the description of the video.

The Monterrey native pointed out “I am going to prepare for everything that any human being on the planet has to prepare for, for the good and to fight against anything.”

“See you, be fine, I’m fine,” finished off the singer.

After almost two decades of the controversial accusation and acquittal of Gloria Trevi and Sergio Andrade for exploitation, human trafficking and sexual abuse of minors, it has resurfaced again.

Although the names of Sergio and Gloria do not appear in the complaint, the events occurred in the 1990s when Trevi and Andrade they were on tour in USA.

In October 2021, more de 100 civil organizations from Mexico, the United States, Spain, Argentina, Colombia and Uruguaythey requested to reopen the investigation folders against Gloria Trevi and Sergio Andrade.

The collectives pointed out that the network of trafficking and sexual exploitation It was made up of between six and eight people, so it was important to continue with the investigations so as not to leave unpunished a case perpetrated against teenagers.
