Fashion designer Harald Glööckler (56) is looking forward to the start of the RTL jungle camp. “I’m already scratching my hooves,” he told the German Press Agency. It’s about time. “I’d rather go to camp today than tomorrow.”

The format “I’m a star – get me out of here!” produced this time in South Africa instead of Australia. starts on January 21 at 9:30 p.m. on RTL. It then runs live daily from 10:15 p.m. Eleven candidates will be there.

Harald Glööckler is looking forward to “huge adventure”

The show will be “a huge adventure,” said Glööckler. “Probably the greatest adventure I’ve ever embarked on in my life – that’s what makes it so fascinating.” He sees this as a “complete reset” (reboot). “You’re suddenly completely outside of our usual world. Not just from the environment, but from everything. No cell phone, no watch, you don’t know what’s going on in the world.”

Eating is also kept to a minimum. “You can almost speak of a detox, a detoxification. And that’s great in every way.” The designer emphasized that he didn’t have cold feet just before the start. “No, I never get that. Not at all.” If he decides something, he does it too. “And end.”

He gives nothing about reports about other participants or information from third parties. “I want to get to know people myself and get an idea.” (dpa/tar)
