Harry Styles on Copenhagen bloody deed: I’m heartbroken

The British pop singer’s concert had to be canceled at short notice.

British pop singer Harry Styles has expressed his condolences to the victims of the bloody crime in a Copenhagen shopping center and their families. “I’m heartbroken, as are the people of Copenhagen. I admire this city. The people are so warm and full of love,” wrote the 28-year-old on Twitter. The musician was due to perform at the Royal Arena on Sunday night, which is just 650 meters from the mall.

“I’m sorry we couldn’t be together. Please take care of each other,” Styles wrote. Three people were killed in the shooting in the Danish capital on Sunday. Three others were seriously injured and in critical condition. A 22-year-old Dane was arrested in connection with the crime. The police initially gave no information on the possible motive.

Harry Styles’ performance at the nearby concert hall has been cancelled. The concert organizer Live Nation announced that this was done on the orders of the Danish police. It was initially unclear whether the show would be rescheduled. “We are all devastated by the events of the day and our thoughts are with the victims and their families.”

After the shots became known, the organizer initially announced on Facebook that the concert would still take place. However, that was before deaths were reported. Hundreds of users criticized the organizer’s first decision on social media.
