Prince Harry does not let go of the longing for his homeland. The ex-royal is said to have not yet finished with his former life in England, which apparently causes Meghan’s wife to panic. Returning is out of the question for them.

Montecito – Prince Harry (37) and Megan Markle (41) took a big step with their royal resignation in spring 2020. The ducal couple have not only turned their backs on the palace, they have also left England behind – a farewell that Harry probably still finds difficult.

Invitation from the Queen: Will Harry and Meghan spend their summer holidays in Scotland?

Harry and Meghan’s visits to England since their departure can be counted on one hand. The 37-year-old has boarded a plane to Europe several times in the past two years, but he only took his family with him once. In June, the Sussexes visited London as part of the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s (96) throne, and there could be a reunion with the royal family this summer.

The Queen is spending her long summer break at Balmoral Castle again this year, Harry and Meghan are said to have received an invitation to Scotland. The possible trip to Great Britain should, according to a palace source to “Closer”, especially worry the mother of two, as Harry is still very attached to his homeland.

Harry longs for England, Meghan wants to stay in the US

It’s a bittersweet invitation for Meghan, because on the one hand it reinforces her and Harry’s belief that they are still part of the family, but she’s afraid that Harry will be lured back into the herd and into the UK after so long want to go back […] She’s been aware of Harry’s homesickness for some time,” the insider clarified.

The former senior royals have taken up residence with their children Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, in Montecito, California, where Meghan Markle also recently celebrated her 41st birthday. Despite Harry’s longing, the couple is not planning to move to England in the near future; for a few months now, Harry and Meghan have been looking for a new home in the United States.
