Andrew Garfield, who played Peter Parker in the previous films released in 2012 and 2014, first explained that his ex-girlfriend had reached him by text when the first rumors indicated that he would return in the new film at the next to Tom Holland. “Emma kept texting me. She was like, “Are you in the new Spider-Man movie?” And I was like, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She was like, “Stop, tell me.” And I said to her: “Honestly, I don’t know…” Then she saw the film. And she said to me: ‘moron’”, he joked.
Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield remained on good terms after their split. The couple dated on and off between 2011 and 2015. Since 2017, the 33-year-old American actress has shared the life of director Dave McCary, whom she married in 2020. Their daughter Louise Jean was born in 2021. For his part, Andrew Garfield is currently in a relationship with model Alyssa Miller.
