During physiotherapy in the hospital bed: the Hollywood star apparently broke dozens of bones in the accident three weeks ago.
New Year’s morning in the US state of Nevada: Hollywood star Jeremy Renner climbs into his own snow groomer. After heavy snowfalls, he wants to free a stuck car from the masses of snow. This is when an accident occurs. Renner gets under the snow removal machine. The device, which weighs several tons, shatters his bones – more than 30 of them, as Renner now casually writes on Twitter.
“These 30+ broken bones will heal and grow stronger as love and bonds with family and friends deepen,” the critically injured star shared.
So far, there has been vague talk of “blunt trauma” in the chest area and “orthopedic injuries”. Now it is clear: Renner apparently suffered fractures in the chest and the entire musculoskeletal system.
To rehab in a clinic?
Renner also posts a photo of him lying in a hospital bed and a physiotherapist treating his bent right leg. Months, if not years, may pass before the serious injuries have healed. The gossip portal “Radar Online” recently reported an imminent leg amputation – and that recovery could take two years.
At least Renner, as he wrote on Twitter on Monday, is said to have been back home for a few days at his remote ranch on Lake Tahoe – where the accident happened on New Year’s Day.
However, it can be assumed that Renner is now in warmer, southern climes for rehabilitation than in wintry, mountainous Nevada on the border with California. The photo he posted at physical therapy shows leafy trees that are currently not found on Lake Tahoe. (kes)
