Hugo Award nominations announced

“Come From Away”with 23 applications; “Dracula the Musical”with 17 and “My Imaginary Gift”with 15, top the list of favorites of the Hugo Awardsthe award that distinguishes musical theater activity in Argentina and that will be awarded will announce the winners on September 19 in a celebration at the Astral theater.

In this twelfth edition of the awards, categories were added in the musical theater for Children, Adolescents and Youth, such as leading performance, supporting performance, production, set design and costumes, and proposals of the genre developed throughout the country will be distinguished.

The local version of the Broadway hit “Come from Away”, which recounts some of the effects of the attack on the Twin Towers in a small Canadian town with the book David Hein and Irene Sankoff is a candidate in the categories such as Best Musical; Address (Carla Calabrese); Choreography (Agustin Perez Costa), Lead Actress and Actor (Meliana Lenoir, Edgardo Moreiraamong other).
