Interested persons have until October 15 to participate in this call. The purpose of the contest is to recognize the talent and creativity of our students, giving them an opportunity to apply writing skills and delve into the work of Don Ricardo Alegría and his contribution to Puerto Rican culture.
The short story category of the contest is geared toward students in first through fifth grade. Meanwhile, the poetry category is for students in grades six through eight and grades nine through twelve.

Each category will have multiple topics from which you can select one or more. On the other hand, in the short story category, the works may be up to two pages long without illustrations. The home page with the pseudonym or slogan does not count as part of the text. For both lines, Times New Roman 12 must be used, on 8 ½ x 11 letter size pages.
