Bookmakers consider Ukraine to be the favorite to win the ESC 2022 in Turin
The bookmakers consider the Ukrainian band Kalush Orchestra to be the favorite for the ESC victory in 2022 (here all participating countries). The song “Stefania” could be voted the winner of the ESC on May 14, 2022 in solidarity with the country that was forced into a war by Russia.
“We are here at the ESC at a time when Ukrainian culture is to be destroyed,” said Psiuk. “With our participation, we want to show that she is alive – and will remain alive.” The singer and his band were allowed to travel to Italy with a special permit. One member of the band stayed behind in Ukraine and is currently fighting in the Ukrainian army in the Kyiv area. The band could only rehearse in Turin.
