Cathy Hummels starts into a new year of life. The presenter shows up in a tight bathing outfit and writes self-confident lines.

In 2022, she started a new phase of life with her divorce from professional soccer player Mats Hummels. Cathy Hummels is now celebrating her first birthday as an officially divorced woman. But instead of moping around, she is in top form – mentally and physically. On her Instagram profile, the 35-year-old warms up her more than 700,000 followers with a new bikini video. To this she writes lines full of self-confidence.

In the video, Cathy slowly struts down a tree-lined driveway. She only wears a burgundy bikini. Her gaze is serious. At the end of the video she strikes a pose and lasciviously runs her hands through her hair.

“This girl is on fire,” she writes about the post, which she underscored with the song of the same name by singer Alicia Keys. “And this is what I look like at 35. I’m proud of my body because it’s getting stronger every day. To be honest, I haven’t felt this healthy, empowered and loved in a long time.” She also thanks everyone who made her birthday on Tuesday so special.

There was also a lot of encouragement in the comments for the message from the mother of a son who comes from the marriage to Mats. “Happy B-Day, Cathy,” writes actress and presenter Nina Bott, garnishing this greeting with a flame emoji. “Congratulations, dear Cathy, you look great at your 25 years of age,” a user obviously mistypes intentionally because she puts a wink smiley behind it. Another user writes: “You are just a beautiful woman, no matter what you wear, your body is awesome too!”

Cathy and Mats Hummels met in Munich in 2007. After a good eight years of relationship, the couple said yes: on June 15, 2015, they married in the Bayerischer Hof in Munich. In 2018 her first and only child Ludwig was born. On December 19, 2022, Cathy and Mats Hummels divorced.
