Much has been written about the separation of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who is now called Ye, and they have not announced much themselves. But now Kim breaks her silence for the first time and talks about it in the podcast “In Real Life” by US presenter Angie Martinez. In detail and in tears, she talked about the “difficult time after the separation” from her ex-husband. The two divorced after ten years of marriage, but share custody of their four children (North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm).
Singer Kanye has recently attracted less attention with his music than with anti-Semitic statements. He also had to struggle with mental problems again and again. “My kids don’t know about any of this,” Kardashian admitted on the podcast. She “always protected him” and also tries to protect her children. They should not be allowed to use social media alone, nor would other children at school point out their father’s behavior to them.
“I’m hanging by a thread. I know it won’t be long before they find out. Co-parenting is hard. It’s bloody hard.” She is aware that sooner or later she will have to talk to them about Kanye, but: “In the future they will thank me for never attacking their dad in public. But they will also learn everything from me in confidence they only want to know about him.”
Kim wants her kids to have a childhood like she had. “I had the best dad and I have the best memories and that’s all I want for my kids. I would want that for them.” Speaking to Martinez, the influencer also burst into tears.
