Between Auschwitz and Europe
Deported to Auschwitz, minister who defended the law decriminalizing abortion or president of the European Parliament, Simone Veil led a life in several chapters, which the director reviews in this new film. The first images show many moments of his life spent with his family, his mother or his husband, Antoine Veil. Then come flashes of the concentration camps, of his election to the European Parliament, or of his political battles against totalitarianism. “They do not support what you represent”, launches her husband, interpreted by Olivier Gourmet. Simone Veil never stopped fighting. The freedom, the strength, the courage of a woman, in a film expected on October 12.
