In video, the surprising (but elegant) little Christmas dance by Anthony Hopkins

The 84-year-old Oscar winner celebrated Christmas by dancing to Dance Me to the End of Love by Leonard Cohen. The clip, posted on his Instagram account on December 26, delighted his fans.

Far from the cannibalistic psychopath (in Thesilenceofthelambs in 1991) or the old man who loses his head (in The Father in 2020), Anthony Hopkins appeared delighted, on December 26, in a video of Christmas posted on his Instagram account followed by some 3.9 million subscribers. The images show him in what appears to be his living room, sketching a few light and fluid dance steps, a Santa Claus hat on his head, to a tune by Leonard Cohen.

In the caption of the Instagram post, the British-American comedian wrote: “Born free. Be free. Good holidays.” He aroused the enthusiasm of his fans and many personalities, including the model Naomi Campbell : “Merry Christmas Mr. Anthony Hopkins. Your light shines brightly. #inspiration”. Hugh Jackmanwith whom he shares the screen in his new film The Sonwished him a “Merry Christmas, Tony”. The Son will be released in theaters on 1er March 2023 and follows The Father. These feature films are part of a trilogy of plays by French playwright Florian Zeller, of which The Mother will have to be adapted.
