“It was horrible to film”: Jenna Ortega tells an anecdote about her famous dance scene in the series “Wednesday”

A real phenomenon on Netflix since its broadcast, the “Wednesday” series owes its success in large part to its interpreter Jenna Ortega. Among the funny scenes, one of them has become a real trend on social networks: the famous dance scene during the ball. In a recent interview, the actress explained that she was sick while filming this sequence.

Having become a phenomenon on social networks, the dance scene during the ball in the series “Wednesday” has created a buzz since its broadcast. Since then, Internet users have fun imitating the heroine’s particular dance.

However, Jenna Ortega (Iron Man 3, Insidious: Chapter 2) said in an interview that she was seriously ill that day. “What’s crazy is that I had COVID. It was my first sick day and it was horrible to film“ she explains.

I felt like I had been hit by a car and a little goblin had rushed down my throat and scratched the walls of my esophagus“. The actress even wanted to re-enact the scene, but, due to lack of time, it was not possible.”I asked to do it again, but we didn’t have time. I think I probably could have done it a little better…“.

Given the success of this scene, not sure that a second take would have created the same enthusiasm.
