After several weeks of campaigning and heated debates especially against Marine Le Penthe result of the second round of the presidential election revealed thatEmmanuel Macron was re-elected President for the second time with 58.8% of the votes for him. This year again, the politician was able to count on the support of those close to him and in particular on that of his wife Brigitte who always believed in him.
Long before knowing the verdict, Emmanuel Macron, however, had to think about what he was going to do if he was not re-elected. “I never project myself doing these scenarios. You know, five years ago (…) I had resigned from the public service to commit myself in all sincerity to our compatriots. (…) To be fully engaged, don’t think about what happens if. (…) The day after will be the day after. I will be a free man again with his convictions and I will continue to move forward” replied frankly the Head of State in front of the cameras of Seven to Eight.

A few minutes after being officially re-elected, Emmanuel Macron spoke publicly. “After five years of transformations, happy and difficult times, this day of April 24, a majority of us have chosen to trust me to preside over our Republic for the next five years. I know that many of our compatriots voted for me today, not to support the ideas I hold, but to block those of the extreme right. I want to thank them here and tell them that I am aware that their vote binds me for the years to come (…) We have so much to do. The war in Ukraine is there to remind us that we are going through tragic times where France must show the clarity of its voice and build its strength in all areas, and we will do so.“ promised the President of the Republic.
Always present by his side, Brigitte Macron was able to express her emotion in front of the cameras of TF1. “I find it difficult to quantify it’s a huge honor” she confided at first. Asked about the first words exchanged with her husband during the happy announcement, the First Lady had difficulty indulging and replied, modestly saying: “I can’t say it was too intimate what we said to each other, we said thank you because we are always there for each other”. The journalist then asked her if it was one of the prettiest words in the French language. Affirmation she confirmed with a nod. Love is beautiful…
