Jason Momoa is best known for playing Aquaman, but the actor could be taking on more superhero roles in the near future.

Hollywood star Jason Momoa (43) seems to have a bright future at DC. The actor has now hinted that he will probably return as Aquaman after “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” as well as play other superheroes. As part of the Sundance Film Festival, Momoa explained what to expect, according to a report by the industry portal “Deadline”.

“I am in love [James] Gunn and there’s going to be some really cool things they’re doing with DC – and I’m definitely going to be in more than one,” he said when asked about the future of the DC Superhero Universe. James Gunn ( 56) is the co-chairman of DC Studios alongside Peter Safran (57).There is therefore room for Momoa, who was also seen in “Game of Thrones”, in several roles. He would like to try that, after all, we would have other actors have already done so.

“I will always be Aquaman”

“I’ll always be Aquaman and there’s a lot of progression in that, so I’m not going anywhere and it’s very exciting.” At the end of 2022, it became known, among other things, that his colleague Henry Cavill (39) would no longer play Superman.

The 43-year-old recently met David Zaslav (63), CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery. “We have a special relationship, I wish I could say more,” said Momoa shrouded in mystery. At the same time, he described entertainment giant Warner Bros., which owns DC Studios, as “a home”. There are many things “that we will do over there”.

Momoa slipped into the role of Aquaman in 2016 and then made his debut in the hero’s own film (“Aquaman”) in 2018. The sequel “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” is scheduled for release on Christmas 2023.
