Jeremy Renner reported to his fans with a video on Twitter from the hospital.
The news shocked film fans around the world: During a snowstorm, “Avengers” star Jeremy Renner (51) was run over by his own snow plow. At the time he was in critical condition. After publishing a selfie from the hospital yesterday, the American contacted his fans today with a family video. In it, Renner’s sister massages the back of his head and jokes: “You’re so sexy!” What exactly the actor says is not exactly audible.
He captioned the video: “A not-so-great day in the ER turned into a spa day with my sister and mom. Thank you very much!” It is not yet clear how long Renner will have to remain under intensive medical treatment.
After his accident in the Lake Tahoe region of Nevada, Renner was flown to a nearby clinic. He suffered a “blunt trauma” in the chest area and “orthopedic injuries,” said his team of spokesmen on Monday, according to media reports. Renner, father of a nine-year-old daughter, played in the superhero series “Avengers” and in two “Mission: Impossible” films. He was nominated for an Oscar in 2010 for his leading role in the war drama The Hurt Locker. He received a second nomination a year later for his supporting role in the action thriller “The Town” by Ben Affleck (50). (read/SDA)
