The Black Eyed Peas opened the Latin Music Awards ceremony this Thursday, with a performance of the song “Where is the love”, which they dedicated to Ukraine, under the slogan “Stop the war”.

“Not only in Ukraine, but all over the world, people are suffering. To have the Latino community accept us on this stage is incredible,” Will said as he walked down the red carpet.
For this number they were accompanied by artists such as Prince Royce, Sofía Reyes, Chiquis, Esteman and Jhay Cortez, who interpreted some fragments in Spanish.
The presenters of the event, Jaqueline Bracamontes, Rafael Amaya and Cristián de la Fuente, joined this message: “Music has been present in difficult times, now more than ever it has the power to break down barriers and change our lives”, Bracamontes pointed out.
On the verge of tears, the Ukrainian singer NK asked viewers not to forget the victims of her country, saying that death figures should not be seen as mere statistics.

“We all have the right to live under a sky in peace. That is why now I am fighting for Ukraine, that is why we ask you to defend with us, supporting Ukraine. Right now what is happening in my country is not just a terrible war Russia is committing a genocide against the Ukrainians. And this should not go unpunished,” he said.
