Latin American Music Awards 2022: They sing against the war in Ukraine

United States.- After the awards ceremony was suspended in 2020, and last year it was only held with special guests, this year the Latin American Music Awards 2022 they returned to the face-to-face modality, so the organizers threw the house out the window.

The gala for the best of Latin music takes place at the Michelob ULTRA Arena located inside the hotel facilities Mandalay Bay Resort and casino in Las Vegas, where dozens of celebrities gathered to participate in the famous gala.

So far, what has attracted the most attention of the night was the presentation of the black Eyed Peaswho opened the ceremony with a special interpretation of the song “Where is the love”, a song with which they launched a petition as a dedication to the leaders to “Stop the war” in Ukraine.

“Not just in Ukraine, but all over the world, people are suffering. To have the Latino community accept us on this stage is incredible,” Will said during an impromptu interview on the red carpet.

While the Ukrainian singer NKvisibly affected by what is happening in her country and on the verge of tears, asked viewers not to forget the victims and stated that death figures should not be seen as mere statistics.

“We all have the right to live under a sky in peace. That is why now I am fighting for Ukraine, that is why we ask you to defend with us, supporting Ukraine. Right now what is happening in my country is not just a terrible war Russia is committing a genocide against the Ukrainians. And this should not go unpunished,” he said.
