New week, new Corona case at “let’s dance“. This year’s season of the RTL dance show is not under a good star. Again and again the broadcaster has to report corona cases of the candidates.

Now it has caught René Casselly. The 25-year-old is considered the favorite this year. After his dance partner Kathrin Menzinger tested positive last week, the virus is said to have now also been detected in René.

RTL therefore announced online on Monday morning: “Unfortunately, no good news for René Casselly: He tested positive and will fail in show 5. We wish you a speedy recovery and a speedy recovery!”

“Let’s Dance” fans shocked: “It can’t be true”

This failure is particularly painful. Numerous spectators immediately spoke up: “No! This is just unreal.”

Many of them have already feared that René Casselly is infected, since his dance partner had just tested positive just a few days earlier. “I almost thought so… Missing just one dance is too much,” regrets one fan.

In addition, there was a “Boys vs. Girls” challenge in Show 4, in which all candidates performed closely together without a mask on the floor. A rather risky situation in the spread of the highly contagious coronavirus.
