Miley Cyrus and A$AP Rocky headed this Friday the first of the three days of the seventh edition of the Lollapalooza Argentina festival, after being suspended for two years due to the pandemic, which is being held in parallel in Santiago de Chile, also on the 18th, 19th and 20th. March, and in Sao Paulo, on March 25, 26 and 27.

The mega-event will run until Sunday and will feature 100 bands that will rotate around five stages in front of thousands of spectators, and will combine national and international artists of musical genres for all tastes at the San Isidro Hippodrome, in the province of Buenos Aires Aires.

The renowned American pop singer Miley Cyrus was in charge of closing the first night that was taken over by rap and urban rhythms by local rappers Bizarrap and Duki.

Cyrus fell in love with the Argentine public by interpreting the song “The Climb”, one of the hits that marked the career of the former Hannah Montana.

Also present for the first time in the South American country was the New Yorker A$AP Rocky and Swedish DJ Alessowho made the set vibrate with his danceable “electro house”.

This massive recital was one of the most anticipated in the South American country after the arrival of “normality” due to the fact that the pandemic canceled most events and public gatherings for almost two years.

It was originally going to take place in March 2020, but it was canceled due to COVID-19 and was rescheduled for November 2021, although it was finally postponed again until Argentina improved its epidemiological situation.

On the other hand, the venue had spaces for the little ones, gastronomic proposals from the most renowned chefs in the world and an area dedicated to promoting a healthy and ecological lifestyle.

The “party” will continue on Saturday under the seal of the emblematic indie rock band The Strokesas well as Californian pop rapper Doja Cat and Texan Machine Gun Kelly.

Among the Argentine talents will stand out Nicky Nicole and, one of the founders of national rock, Litto Nebbia.

By the end of Sunday, Foo Fighters will present their latest studio album “Medice at Midnight” which they released in February last year, but first Dutch DJ and record producer, Martin Garrix, will make viewers throb with his alternative electro music.
