Luz Elena González shared the impact she suffered after gaining almost 20 pounds as part of the aftermath of having suffered from covid-19, in December 2020.

The actress of Mi Fortuna Es Amarte explained that the disease, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, caused a drop in testosterone levels in her body, which led her to gain weight.

“In my case the problem is that my testosterone went to the ground, that is, literally to the ground. Last year I had gained 9 kilos [casi 20 libras] of weight, I said: ‘My God,'” he said in an interview for ‘Ventaneando’ on June 21.

The actress explained that the first treatments that her doctor prescribed did not help her lose the almost 20 extra pounds in her weight.

“First he gave me an anti-inflammatory medicine, then he gave me a medicine for sugar, and well, I didn’t see much of a change,” he commented on camera.

González, who recently revealed that after suffering from cutaneous larva migrans disease he also came to believe that he had cancer, had to receive synthetic testosterone so that his hormone levels would improve.
