- Madonna caused a stir with an Instagram video.
- The singer drinks wine, talks about cocaine and delivers a dance performance.
- The fan speech actually had a simple reason.
Madonna is known for polarizing people with her social media presence. In a recent Instagram clip, she has once again drawn attention to herself. In the video, she just wants to announce that she’s released a remix of her hit “Frozen.”
But the 63-year-old singer repeatedly starts with the greeting and mentioning her name and in the meantime calls herself “Mother of Jesus”. The cameraman then advises her to take a long sip from a wine glass, apparently to relax her. The musician actually allows herself the drink and then asks: “Was it big enough?” She also states that she is “drunk”.
Then there’s a dance routine and the Queen of Pop declares with her eyes closed and one hand on her nose: “Wait for the cocaine to take effect.” Before she actually announces her remix, she adds incoherently: “We are all fighters. Nobody touches me! I’m calling the police.”
The video met with mixed reactions from Instagram users. While some fans, including fellow musician Rita Ora, found Madonna’s video funny and complimented the singer numerous times, another user hopes the video will be deleted. Another user finds the cocaine reference “just not funny”.
Madonna and her new interpretation of “Frozen”
Madonna’s original song “Frozen” was released in 1998. Instead of the obligatory violin tones, trap beats and autotune are incorporated into the remix. In addition, the Nigerian musician Fireboy DML takes on a vocal part.
The remix was produced by Canadian Sickick, who released a first version in December 2021 and which went viral on TikTok. In the video for the song, Madonna dances in the same black leather outfit she wore in the Instagram video. She combined fishnet stockings, sunglasses and eye-catching glitter jewelry.

Madonna posts footage from her skiing vacation. You can see, among other things, how she celebrates with family and friends. But social networks are all about the singer’s appearance.
