Maluma is in a very special stage of his career, since not only has he just had a collaboration with Grupo Firme and the ‘Queen of Pop’ Madonna, but he is also about to release ‘Marry Me’, a film in which he acts alongside Jennifer Lopez and what her entry into the Hollywood film industry means.
Maluma and his campaign to give away houses in Colombia
On April 30, 2022, during one of his concerts on his tour in Colombia, the singer announced that he would do a good deed by doing his “grain of sand” so that several families in Medellín have their own home.
The interpreter of ‘Felices los 4’ will not be alone, since he will work with the LaHaus company in a campaign they called “A Haus for Medallo City”.
According to the newspaper ‘El Colombiano’, Maluma and LaHaus will donate close to a million dollars for the first stage of their campaign, although it was not specified how many stages it consists of in its entirety.
This phase consists of “the planning of the project, to define the location, the methodology for selecting the families and the construction process,” according to what LaHaus published through his Twitter account.
In that same social network, the company published a video where Maluma announces the start of the campaign and what he hopes to achieve in a few years.
“Today a change begins in my city, the city where we all feel at home, but where unfortunately not everyone has a home,” Maluma commented in the promotional video.
Maluma assured that his intention and that of LaHaus is to build a roof for those who need it most, with the aim that “every person in Medallo City has their own house.”
At the moment it is not known how the lucky families who receive a home built by this campaign will be selected, but LaHaus promises to provide more information in the near future, through his official media or the singer’s networks.
It is not the first time that the native of the Colombian capital joins a good cause, since through his foundation ‘Arte de los Sueños’, Maluma supports young Colombians in vulnerable situations so that through urban art (singing, composition, instrumentalization, production, dance and painting) manage to build a stable life project.
