Colombian singer Manuel Turizo spoke about his mental health and assured that despite not being diagnosed with anxiety, the artist felt anxious about the coronavirus pandemic, especially during the quarantine that the country experienced in 2020.
“The first year of quarantine I stayed on ‘standby’ in my career. I personally was not connected, I was with a blocked head […] I feel that ambitious people are more likely to have anxiety. Anxiety cannot kill you”, said the artist in an interview with the entertainment program ‘La red’.
He also said: “young people feel anxiety because we do not know where to go or what to do […] people who suffer from psychiatric depression are one thing, but I am not that case […] but there is a moment when you drop, because your mind is not focused on what it is”.
For this reason, he assured that the only way to take care of mental health is by disconnecting to reconnect with oneself.

However, the extremes are bad and you should not do a lot of physical activity, since the portal pointed out that a hormone that generates stress is produced.
In addition, he pointed out that it is better to avoid alcohol, since these substances “alter the neurotransmitters of the brain.”
The last recommendation of the portal is to avoid not sleeping, since sleep is essential to enjoy optimal health and what experts recommend is to sleep between seven and eight hours at night. What’s more, lack of sleep can negatively affect mood and temperament, as well as the ability to concentrate on daily tasks.
