The Christian singer-songwriter Marcela Gandara, will be presented on May 28 and 29 at the Santurce Center for Fine Arts (CBA), a stage from where he hopes to “transmit hunger for God, through his word and his presence.”
“I have prepared hits for Puerto Ricans such as You Are Close, A Long Trip, You Are Here and Esperanza, which in the midst of a pandemic helped them move forward. Music is a very powerful instrument to bring hope and peace. We must never lose the amazement of all the good that God has been with all of us in the midst of any circumstance. With Him we must move forward, without giving up, believe and thank Him, “said the 38-year-old interpreter.
The singer, who with her Hope tour will reach stages in Spain, Italy, Panama, Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico, Nicaragua and several cities in the United States, highlighted what it means to perform again before the Puerto Rican public.
“I am very excited to return to Puerto Rico. It is a place that has always been in my heart and I have a lot of love for it because of the warmth of its people and because God is with us in good and difficult circumstances. He walks through the valleys to encourage us to continue walking in the difficult seasons and through the deserts as well”, revered the Mexican artist.
Gándara has six albums, among which are More than a yearning, ¡Digno es el Señor!, Marcela Gándara live from Panama, The same sky, Live and You are close, created during the past 18 years.
“The purpose of the music I perform is to let the Holy Spirit use each of the songs and work in the hearts of the people according to their need. My desire is to be able to transmit hunger for God, for his word and his presence, ”he stressed.
Tickets for Gándara’s concert in Puerto Rico are available at Ticketera and at the CBA in Santurce.
