Steep allegations against shock rocker Marilyn Manson.
US rock star Marilyn Manson (54) does not come from the negative headlines. A 43-year-old woman says Manson dragged her into a “dark world of alcohol and drug addiction, sexual debauchery, physical harm and psychological abuse.” The woman filed a civil complaint in the Nassau County Supreme Court on Monday in New York. Accordingly, in September 1995, at the age of 16, she attended a concert by Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, in Dallas. Manson invited her and another young woman to his tour bus after the concert.
There he is said to have first asked her about her age, telephone numbers and addresses and then asked where her parents were. According to the complaint, which the New York Post had access to, Manson then allegedly performed “various criminal sexual acts” on the plaintiff. Band members are said to have watched as the singer “forced the woman to have oral sex and vaginal intercourse”. After the act, he threw her out with the words “piss off my bus”. Attorney Jeff Andersen, 75, representing the victim, anonymized as “Jane Doe” (a fictional female name for a party in a lawsuit), further claims: “First he threatened to kill my client’s family if she spoke about it, what’s happened!”
More attacks followed
Weeks later, she is said to have contacted Manson by phone, asked her for nude photos and invited her to a concert on December 9, 1995 in Louisiana: “After that he sexually assaulted her again.” The victim then numbed her pain and shame with alcohol and drugs and became addicted to it.
According to the lawsuit, Manson sexually abused her again for a month in 1999, three years later: “He manipulated her, drugged her and made her have sex with his band members too.” At that time, the rocker was engaged to actress Rose McGowan (49). The victim is seeking undisclosed damages from Manson — as well as his then-record companies Interscope Music and Nothings Records — “who supported and benefited from Manson’s sexual excesses and pedophilic tendencies,” according to the lawsuit.
Manson’s attorney denied
Manson’s attorney Howard King denies all allegations: “My client doesn’t know ‘Jane Doe’ at all and has never been intimate with her. The lawsuit is full of underhanded lies and nothing more than blackmail to extract money. The so-called victim has been peddling her made-up story for two years. We will not be blackmailed.” (cth/las)
