Did he expect that? With his record “Matthias”, hit star Matthias Reim is currently leading the hit album charts.
Stokach – Matthias Reim (64) currently has every reason to be happy. The “Damn, I love you” interpreter is expecting their first child together with his wife Christin Stark (32). And with his current album “Matthias” the musician continues to conquer the charts. The record has been in the top 15 for nine weeks and has now even secured first place in the Schlager album charts. Matthias Reim hasn’t had such a great success with an LP since the nineties.
His first album, Reim, released in 1990, went platinum three times. The hit star’s second record, simply titled “Reim 2”, also achieved platinum status. After that, Matze released a few popular LPs and clearly established himself as a major player in the industry. But he couldn’t match those debut successes — until now. It almost seems as if the musician simply has to name his albums after himself in order to be at the top of the pop charts.
In a duet with his ex-partner Michelle, Matthias Reim also achieves gold status
While he is waiting for their child with his wife Christin Stark, Matthias Reim celebrates musical success with his ex-partner Michelle (50). Their duet “Not Earned” was recently honored with a gold record — not particularly common for a single production from the hit world. The song was released in 2018, though, so hopefully Matthias and Michelle will be inspired by the Gold award to step back into the studio together.
If you want to hear the songs from his number one record “Matthias” live, you can still secure tickets for the singer’s upcoming concerts. The tour starts on August 20th in Cottbus.
