New information about Jeremy Renner’s serious accident has been revealed

The actor, victim of an accident while he was clearing snow, is now in intensive care and should undergo a second surgery.

He was reportedly airlifted to hospital at 9:50 a.m. on Sunday 1er January. Jeremy Renner, hero of multiple films Marvelis indeed in “critical but stable condition” due to an accident that occurred while he was clearing snow, revealed his spokesperson in the columns of Deadline. The American site TMZ later clarified the conditions of the accident: the 51-year-old actor was driving a snow groomer in order to free up access to his home, before the machine rolls over on one of its legs.

A neighbour, who luckily happened to be a doctor, put a tourniquet on his injured leg to stop the bleeding before the helicopter came to rescue him. Since suffering from chest trauma and multiple orthopedic injuries, he is now in intensive care and is due to undergo a second surgery. He is conscious and can speakaccording to an article by DailyMail dated January 2.

In a statement, his family members expressed their gratitude to the “incredible doctors and nurses caring for him”. And added that they were also “very touched and grateful for the outpouring of love and support from his fans”.

A violent storm

The incident, “related to the weather”, took place near Reno, Nevada, where the comedian owns a property. According to Reno Gazette-Journalthis would be located around Mount Rose-Ski Tahoe, about 40 km from the city. The inhabitants of the region indeed experienced a violent snowstorm on New Year’s Eve. This would have deprived 35,000 homes of electricity.
